It's great news. One Piece is supposed to come to an end eventually. It's not supposed to be some indefinite adventure. I no longer have a weekly habit of keeping up with manga. If One Piece were to come to an end, then there would be some motivation to read it to its conclusion since I wouldn't just be catching up to a point where I have to wait again.

This could very well happen, but I don't recall Luffy ever showing any romantic interest in her. Frankly most of the One Piece cast has seemed to lack romantic interest with the exception of Sanji. Even when characters have displayed sexual interest it has always been more of a gag than anything else.

more arcs before it's over, and that's assuming Oda doesn't come up with something else he wants to do and extend the series again.

If you wanna know about Shanks, watch Film Red. There are clues there, and Ado does the vocals for the music, so it's worth it for that if nothing else.

I also highly doubt Luffy would end up romantically involved with anyone. It's just not in his character. If anything, after reaching the end, they'll just keep going on more adventures.
